LOL — one little acronym, so much meaning. This'll be hard to believe, but the shorthand as we know it ("laughing out loud") turns 25 years old this month. (Happy birthday!) Turns out, the earliest citation is from a May 1989 issue of a techie newsletter.

It's not the only Internet jargon to go through a quarter-life crisis turn a quarter of a century. Phrases we still use today like BTW and BRB have also been around, but there are some other acronyms and symbols that are long gone. And we want to bring them back, starting with this quiz.
