Launch Pandora Right From Your Desktop

Cool Download: Pandora Desktop

I know there are a ton of you out there that are fans of Internet radio, especially Pandora. How awesome has it been to discover new artists, and listen to your all-time faves while you're at the office, surfing the web, or finishing up those term papers right from your computer. I've been a big fan of Pandora for a while now, and if it's possible, it just got better.

Now you can download your own desktop Pandora icon that lives on your Windows desktop, or your Mac's dock . . . removing that step of opening a web browser to listen to your streamed tunes. I know what you're thinking, "Big whoop, so I open another tab or window. I'm already online anyway." But the new desktop feature makes it that much easier to get down with one click, preventing you from accidentally closing your Pandora allocated window. Plus, it cuts down the amount of memory your browser uses while Pandora is running (which means faster surfing). All it takes is a quick Adobe Air download and you're off and running. Or at least shimmying in your office chair!

Hi, I learned about the new Pandora desktop feature here at Geeksugar, but then started looking around and found something that I like even better: OpenPandora. You can find it here: http://openpandora.googlepages.com/download It's got a LOT more features than the Pandora version and it's free. Oh, and for those of you outside of the United States, check out this article at OpenPandora called "The complete guide for using OpenPandora outside US with Tor": http://tinyurl.com/3by25w I'm in the U.S. but I read a little about it and it sounds like people love it. Hope this helps! (BTW, do try OpenPandora, it's GREAT!)

Whoo! I love Pandora. I use it all the time. I'll download this feature. As long as it works ok when I have photoshop open, I'll use it a lot, other wise I'll stick with the browser version.

Just downloaded this app for my mac - love it already. It's a great company with a needed concept. This takes my music library beyond what I have in my iTunes.

I've never heard of Pandora, but I'll definitely check it out...As for the icons, that's the standard trash and iCal icons on the Mac's dock...I'm guessing you want icons for your pc? That I have no clue where to even start looking...

I knew about Pandora but didn't realize they had a desktop option. Thanks! I will download this at work. Btw, anyone know where I could get the trash can and date icons in the picture? They're so cute.
