No Denying: This Lego Keyboard Is the Best Keyboard to Exist

We've all seen Lego mugs and Lego phone cases before. But a Lego keyboard? Well, that might be as good as it gets.

Feast your eyes on the totally legitimate keyboard made from Lego parts. From the bright arrow keys to the caps lock button with a baseball hat, it's the stuff Lego dreams are made of. The passionate person who brought us this piece of magic is Jason Allemann, who designs and builds crazy cool Lego models that you can see on his site, JK Brickworks.

Allemann actually built the first prototype for the project back in 2005 but ditched the idea after working around various keyboard angles proved too difficult. Last year, he (thankfully) stumbled upon an old keyboard on the side of the road and brought the project back.

Check out this video of him explaining the keyboard in more detail.

The project wasn't without difficulties, but Allemann pulled it off better than he expected. "The biggest challenge was creating a frame that allowed the keys to be precisely spaced above the membrane," he writes on his site. "As I show in the video this was accomplished with a grid of Technic connectors and axles."

Another challenge was finding the right printed tiles for all the symbols on a keyboard. But over the years, the Lego Group has released all the main characters, numbers, and special symbols to make it happen.

In the end, Allemann says, "I can type just as well with this keyboard as with any other . . ."

We'll just have to take his word for it, which isn't very hard to do.
