Who among us hasn't dreamed about meeting the perfect someone serendipitously in an airport or airplane? I know I have. So when that excitement is nearly replicated by finding someone you do know or recognize in an airport or on your flight, it's an exciting moment. While one could argue that Foursquare provides the same service, you can't see users last names unless you're friends with them. And TechCrunch does make a good point that this service could be especially useful for conference attendees or other enthusiasts flying to one location for an event. Still, this location-based service fan would rather continue to leave her "airport fate" to the powers that be . . . not an Internet application.
