Love It or Leave It? CD Record Player

Don't you just want to belt Corinne Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On" when you see this Phonograph CD Player? Designed by Yong Jieyu and displayed on Yanko Design, this CD player looks more like a retro record player that could actually play sheet music. It even comes with a laser pointer and arm, so you can watch the CD spinning while your music plays. Now "girl put your records on, tell me your favorite song, you go ahead and let your hair down!" Since most of us don't have a ton of CD's lying around anymore either, I'd say this is more of a piece of artwork than a functional music player, what do you think?

This device might actually get to listen to my old CDs. It's very cute, vintage, and modern.

I rather have a real record player, which I did have up until a few years ago. I still have a lot of my 12" and 45s. :) I saw this combo record, tape, cd player that I would love to buy and it looks vintage. But it's a lot of money.

This is really cool - slightly disturbing that CDs are becoming outdated, though. I know that I still listen to my dad's old RECORDS... But if CDs end up having the same kitchy vintage retro quality records do now, this would be perfect!!

I like it, but I'd probably knock it down and break it.

I love this. But again...I still have records. I love everything about the vintage style of this.

I love it, but like you said most of us don't have lots of cd's lying around anymore. Ipods and other mp3 players are phasing out cd's pretty quickly. It is a cool, kind of artsy conversational piece though!
