Macworld 2008: What Can We Expect From Apple?

We're already gearing up for Macworld '08, wondering what surprises Steve Jobs will have hiding up his sleeve this time around. With all the craziness surrounding the iPhone last year, I'm not expecting any major, life-altering announcements this year, although you just never know with Jobs. According to MacRumors, a new 3G iPhone is expected to hit store shelves by May or June, which I'm sure we'll get a sneak peek of at Macworld. They have also speculated that the rumored ultra-portable laptop, which is said to be priced around $1,500, will also be revealed at Macworld. Stay tuned my friends . . .Source

Thank you for the info! I'm not nearly the Geek I hope to be... I just know I want an iPhone, badly! I've been eBaying crap like a madwoman to save up $$ for the 2nd generation version.

The current iPhone is "8GB's" the "3G" is in reference to the data network. Currently it is using the slower Edge network. I'm saying since the iPod Touch is available with 16GB's of space that they will probably bump the iPhone up to at least that much and put it on the faster 3G network... Does that help?

Err..um... I'm confused.Isn't the current $399 iPhone 8G? And didn't they discontinue the 4G after the price cut?

I've heard the rumors of them bringing back the smaller pro laptop. It's kind of funny as we really didn't sell that many of the 12" PowerBooks but once they were discontinued everyone whined that they were gone. I have started telling people to hold off on buying iPhones as you know there is a bigger capacity 3G model coming out soon. Oh and I predict the WOW product will be a touch screen iMac. Once they went to the glass screen it really seemed like there was a reason to add the extra weight.

I want a newly designed macbook pro. Slightly thinner with a keyboard that looks similar to the iMac keyboard. I also want the track pad to have the same functionality as the iPhone touch screen...so I can use the 2 finger pinch to zoom-in when using programs like Photoshop and I can scroll around and even delete by swiping my finger. Does Steve read this blog? Steve...are you writing this down? :)
