Apple is known for its minimalist, no-fuss design in its products, and the aesthetic is also seen in the cube Apple store structures. Always on the hunt to use less hardware, Apple has renovated its flagship New York City store to use less glass on its iconic street-level entrance. The $6.6 million renovation streamlined the 90 glass panels originally used to just 15 seamless glass pieces.
The dozens of previous panels and hardware joints made the glass cube appear to sparkle along Fifth Avenue, while today's unveiling reveals a mirage-like structure with the Apple logo appearing to float in the air. Are you impressed with the new Apple store?
