The New Katana Mobiles By Sprint and Sanyo

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury - I offer you exhibit A: the platinum ice, champagne and pick satin Katana DLX and below exhibit B: the cosmic black, pink fascination and midnight steel Katana II.

Brought to you by Sanyo and Sprint, these new cell phones not only come with part wacky/part girlie names that sound like MAC lipstick hues, but they are functional as well. Featured on CrunchGear, both models come with Bluetooth, wireless backup, are GPS capable and have a lovely large display screen. The Katana II boasts 21MB of storage, a VGA camera and voice SMS, whereas the DLX has a 1.3-megapixel cam, a microSD slot and online access.

The Katana DLX costs $130 and the Katana II costs $50. A two-year subscription is required.

they look a little too flashy, but still cute.

I don't like it...The design is kinda weird.

The DLX is nice, but the price is to high. Also it reminds me to much of a RAZR and I hate RAZRs. Plus Sprint is terrible service.

They do look a bit more bulky than some of the other phones out there like the Krzr and the LG8600...

I have the old Katana and was kinda salty that mine didn't come with these wallpapers...I got some weird shade of blue orb thing and a water drop with Sprint clear across it.

Damn too bad. I was hoping to hear that people liked these. I have an old Sanyo and never had any probs with it. And when i worked for Sprint, Sanyo's were the most reliable, least complained about phone. I'm up for a new phone w/Sprint and not sure what to get. Any suggestions on Sprint's best phone??

Like the design on the bottom ones and the champagne color of the top ones. Still not crazy about it. Def not worth re-uping with a new contract with Sprint.

Although I love anything pink, these just don't do it for me and the camera is kinda weak.

I didn't like the original Katana's, and I don't like these too much either. That's unfortunate. There's few cell phones out there that I actually like.

I like the design of the top line more than the bottom.

Me not like it :PAbout design: to much corners, to much different materials used...I am a fan of sleek minimalistic design... And the 1.3 MegaPxl cam???No thanx.. I know that I shouldn't expect anything more from a $50 phonebut still... the design did not buy me :D
