Over a Billion People Expected to Have Tuned in to Michael Jackson's Memorial Service

How Did You Watch Michael Jackson's Memorial?

There wasn't a dry eye in the house by the end of Michael Jackson's memorial service, and audiences across the world tuned in to watch from afar. At Sugar HQ groups spectated via Slingbox, gathered around the lobby television, streamed the memorial service online, and checked blogs for updates while we worked.

Since there were so many ways to tune in to the emotional service (and over one billion people were expected to be watching through various methods from around the world), tell me, how did you watch?

I won tickets to the memorial and saw it live at the Staples Center! It was a beautiful service, RIP Michael Jackson.

I didn't say you weren't entitled to your opinions, I said I thought people were being rude. And I know not everyone is a "starry eyed Michael Jackson apologist". People are upset that someone died and if you didn't want to watch that person's life being celebrated then this poll didn't apply to you. Besides, this post is about what you used to watch it, not if you wanted to watch it.

Wow some people here are being so rude. If you didn't want to watch it, this poll obviously doesn't apply to you. One word: scroll.

i saw it on tv. it was very beautiful. they definitely made him proud with such a respectful, well-put-together memorial. why would any one watch something that made them puke? weird... and you're right, geek, there wasn't a dry eye at my house either.

No vote, 'cause you didn't allow for my option: "didn't see it, and didn't want to." Sorry, but dying isn't enough reason for me to suddenly gain respect for someone when I didn't really have any for them beforehand. What pandering glorification of him I have caught by "leakage" is more than enough to irritate me.

I watched the last quarter of it. It was decent, but repetitive. However, there were tears when his daughter came up to talk about her dad; it just makes you think about your own dad...and that made me all sorts of teary eyed

I tried to watch live but it was terrible. Obviously the word "dignity" is missing from the Jackson family dictionary. I wish I'd just skipped it altogether, as embarrassing as that display was. "Not a dry eye in the house?" More like vacillating between cringing and throwing up in my mouth.

Where's the option for I have no plans to watch it at all. While he may have had some talent he was a creepy, weird mess and I don't have any time in my life for that.

i started online then switched to tv...then it rained and rain kills satellite signal towards the end. I quickly switch back online just in time for Paris' speech.

I felt like it was a part of American pop culture, so I recorded it while I was busy at work and watched it when I got home. The whole service was was nicely done.
