Rock the Photo: The Polling Place Photo Project

The Polling Place Photo Project is a NYTimes experiment to document "the local voting experience" around the country. They have invited citizens to snap pictures of their polling places when they go in to cast their vote, and then submit them to the website.

Anyone can participate (all states, all political persuasions) — check their Resource List to find out what the law is regarding photography at polls in your state, and get to snapping. I can't wait to see the collection post-election (rhyme not intentional)!

oh man, I miss those voting booths! The polling place I vote at is a cheapo looking booth with a scantron style piece of paper.

I can't find any information on the Resource List about photography in polling sites.

Unfortunately, I live in Georgia and photography is strictly prohibited. I was so planning on taking pics this year too. Good thing I saw this first. :D
