The Apple TV ($99) is a must have for power iTunes users. Movies and TV shows from the iTunes Store — plus Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Vimeo, and live MLB, NBA, and NHL games — can be played back on your HD display in top-notch 1080p. The media library isn't as big as Roku's, but if you already have rich content on your Mac or PC that you share often, like photo libraries and home videos, you've met your match with Apple TV.
Why Apple TV is the bee's knees:
- Built-in AirPlay lets iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touches send video and audio wirelessly to the TV.
- Macs and PCs can connect to Apple TV too, using WiFi.
- Everything stored in iCloud can be accessed from the device including photos, music collections, movies, and TV shows.
- Easiest setup (as simple as a power cord and an HDMI cable).
