Craving a DSLR to up the ante of your pics, but don't want to lug around the larger body? Sony feels your pain and has announced its new NEX line of digital cameras today, which are tiny and compact but also allow you to change up your lenses to get the best shot possible. The 14.2 MP NEX5 and NEX3 ($650 and $550, respectively) will be rolling out to stores this Summer and offer HD video shooting, among other benefits like size (both models are less than five inches wide and less than two inches thick), shooting quality, and more control over your pics with the option of switching to one of three E-mount lenses that range in price from $250 to $800.
Additional features include smile and face detection, HDMI mini and USB connections, and the ability to use any of Sony's A-mount lenses with an adapter. Both the NEX5 and NEX3 will be available in silver and black this July.
