Sony Debuts Pink Laptop Bundles For Breast Cancer Research

Breast Cancer Awareness month is almost here, and with that, there's always pretty-in-pink gadgets to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. We debuted the Pink Ribbon DS Lite this morning, and now Sony is getting in on the action for the second year in a row with pink laptop bundles. The Sony VAIO CR pack includes a 14.1-inch LCD screen, a Core 2 Duo CPU, a built-in DVD burner, and a matching case and mouse, while the VAIO SR comes with a 13.3-inch LED backlit display and up to 320GB of HDD space. Bundle prices start at $870 and $1,399. They haven't shown up on Sony's website yet, but I'm sure they'll be available for purchase starting on the first of the month.

I'm not a great fan of Sony. iLauren, actually you can get a pink mac, but it costs extra. There is a site out there that you can buy Macs from and it customizes it for you, all with a pink shell and pink keyboard as well. I unfortunately forgot what the site name is.

i'm all about supporting a cause and this is one that's near and dear to my heart - but i don't know if i would buy a pink computer just for it. i love pink so i might buy it on it's own... i'm sure that there's a lot of revenue that they make from this though since it's one of those causes that lots of people associate with and are more than happy to contribute to.
