Stephen Colbert Sends Message to Space

Video of the Day: Stephen Colbert's Message to Alien Life

Is there anybody out there? This week on the 35th anniversary of the WOW! signal, an unexplained 72-second radio transmission from space, Stephen Colbert, among other celebrities and space enthusiasts, responded to the possible alien missive on behalf of all humanity.

Through the combined forces of National Geographic Channel and Arecibo Observatory, earthlings have now responded to the mysterious message. We hope intelligent life in far parts of the galaxy don't mind that we're a few decades late in continuing the conversation. Maybe thanks to Stephen Colbert's typical deadpan, seen below, our poor social etiquette will be forgiven.
