Have you noticed Facebook's recent "Photo Memories" feature in the top right corner of your Facebook homepage? It's designed to spotlight photos uploaded months or years ago from friends you may not be in constant contact with, perhaps to induce some nostalgia. Unfortunately, it's also a prime spot for photos you don't really want to see . . . from an ex, perhaps? Luckily, Facebook understands your pain, and will no longer show photos of someone you listed as being "in a relationship" with.
It's too bad your exes can't be removed from other places around Facebook! Share where else you wish they'd go away, and find out more about the change after the break.
A few weeks ago when Facebook debuted its new Groups feature, Mark Zuckerberg acknowledged that it's extremely difficult to create an algorithm that shows all of what users want to see but little of what they don't (i.e., exes). Sure, you can get rid of a crazy ex by defriending them, but if morbid curiosity sometimes gets the best of you, that's not always the best route.
I'm happy that they've taken steps to ditch known exes from one part of the site. In a perfect world, where do you want to see them go away next?
