Tag Your iTunes by Mood With Moody

Geek Tip: Tag Your iTunes With Moody

Similar to what we experienced with Musicovery, where you search web radio according to your mood, Moody allows you to tag the tunes you already have by the way they make you feel.

Tags are color coded and their names are customized any way you want them to be. Have tons of Al Green? He might be a little more towards the red end of the color spectrum, under the "Gettin' in the Mood" tag if you know what I mean. Whereas, Daft Punk might be a yellow "Lets Dance!" tag. It's all up to you! You can even label your tunes as you listen, so you don't have to sit for hours tagging photos when you should be doing other, more productive things — like reading geeksugar, of course! Moody is free and available for iTunes on OSX and Windows.

totally cool - thank Geek! I think this is perfect for me as i like to listen to "study" songs that are all pretty mellow or "hanging" songs that are more catchy.

Hmm... I've been using this since last night... I like it, but I don't like how you can only pick ONE colour for a song... like, I have some songs that belong under my "calming" list and under my "sad" list, some that could go under "fire it up" and "happy", et cetera...

I just discovered Musicovery a few days ago (I know I'm late to the party on that one), so I really like the idea of tagging music based on mood right now.

I tried it out a while ago and just never got into it. It's a cool concept if you actually use it (unlike me, lol). :)
