Now that Apple TV has its fancy new software upgrades, what better way to welcome it into our lives then with a guided video tour? Yes, as you'll see, for $229 you can now directly rent movies for your computer, iPod, iPhone, or TV; listen to podcasts; watch YouTube videos; or display your personal photos from your Flickr account or .Mac galleries. I agree with Macgirl most times you need to be in a certain mood to watch a certain movie. This product makes it nice that if your chilling at home one night and nothing is on tv you can have whatever movie or show you'd like to see instantly on your tv. The computer is nice but I don't like watching movies on a computer I'd rather be able to instantly see it on my tv like this product provides. Watching youtube videos on your tv sounds like fun also. Especially when you consider how many movies and tv shows are also on youtube. Also looking at your vaction pics set to your music sounds like a blast. I'll definitely be purchasing this sometime soon in the future. The price isn't bad either for $229.00 thats a great price considering I spent more for my video ipod!

I love my Apple TV and am VERY excited about this software update! I did my first iTunes rental the other day and was very pleased. I currently subscribe to Blockbusters "netflix" service, I'm horrible with it. I will keep the same three movies for months. I'm one of those people that has to be in the right mood to watch something. I like the ability to get a rental and then not worry about having to get it back on time. I'm going to be canceling my blockbuster subscription today! Some of the things I like to do with my Apple TV is watching movie trailers, putting my photos on the big tv for slideshows, playing the music from my computer through my tv and streaming my ripped movies. Love it love it love it. This software update is only going to make it better!

And I have a 2 year Verizon subscription that's only 10 months I can't get an iPhone yet, which blows because using this Word interface on my Motorola Q because I only use Macs at home and work. Should I buy a blackberry?

I saw this at MacWorld, but it didn't seem logical to me to purchase because I use Netflix and I don't buy movies through iTunes. am I weird because it seems like there's a huge market there. Also all I use iTunes for is music. Any thoughts?
