Snowboarding has traditionally been a sport of rebellion and individuality, and this year's Olympic snowboard uniforms do their part to enforce that stereotype — with a great geeky twist! In 2006, Olympic uniforms featured Bluetooth and iPod controls on their sleeves. While this year's uniforms are less technical and more retro, I'm crazy for the pants!
At first glance, they actually look like real denim, but the pants are actually made from advanced, waterproof Gore-Tex. But to give them the rebellious, vintage feel he was looking for, Burton designer Greg Dacyshyn photographed his favorite pair of jeans and used a process called dye sublimation to print a denim look onto the pants. According to NBC's Olympics site, it's a process similar to printing a photograph on a birthday cake. Pretty cool!
