Totally Geeky or Geek Chic? Persian Mouse Rugs

How about taking your mouse on a magic carpet ride with this new miniature Persian style mouse rug? This tiny traditional style rug has been combined with high-tech fiber coating to create a unique and functional mouse pad. Hopefully the fiber coating will prevent carpet burn for my sensitive optical mouse. The mouse rugs are available in a variety of designs including Museum, Persian, Native American, Gregorian, Designer, and Woolrich collections. Each rug was created through digital scans of original hand woven rugs, so it's sorta the real deal - just a mini me version, naturally. Available for about $19 from this online Japanese outlet. Too geeky or kinda cool?

dunno, the whole carpet/antique business doesn't seem to go well with pretty technology, especially sleek mac mice.

No proper geek would be caught using a mousepad. I think they're cute but have no use for one.

I've had my original MouseRug® for several years now & it shows no signs of wear, I just love it; also, even though most mouses (?) are optical now, a mouspad still beats dragging the mouse across the desk all the time.

These are kinda old-style.... They've been around for years. They are past their prime, in terms of novelty. There are much cuter mouse pads out there.
