View Microsoft Word Files in Gmail

View .doc Attachments in Your Browser Window With Gmail

Any day that Gmail adds more new and useful technology is a good one! I was pretty excited about the drag-and-drop feature available for attachments within Gmail, but I'm even more excited about the latest time-saving feature: the ability to view .doc files in your browser without fully downloading them. Learn how after the jump.

This is the same functionality that allows you to view PDF files. To view a .doc or .docx file, click the "View" link at the bottom of the Gmail message. Then to edit the file in Google Docs, click "Edit Online," or download it to your desktop. Easy peasy.
