Vince Vaughn Doesn't Own a Cell Phone... Do You?

Other than my mom, I assumed everyone and anyone owned a cell phone — especially celebrities! Well according to Us Magazine, Vince Vaughn recently revealed on MTV's TRL that he doesn't own a cell phone. "I don't own a cell phone because...the old way always worked for me. You call me, I call you back, like a gentleman." Although he did admit that he likes them if he needs to call someone, but doesn't like receiving calls. If worse comes to worst Vaughn will ask to borrow a phone. "I will say to my friends...can I use your cell phone? A friend in need is a pest...I am an annoying friend that way." Do you feel the same way? Or are you cell phone obsessed? Leave your answer below! Source

I think that's great he doesn't own a cell phone even though I own a phone. First thing it makes me think of is my Mother who's cell phone is glued to her head 24/7 ugh. I wont even answer a phone calls unless I know who it is same goes for texting. Even then I just sort of dread phone calls unless they leave a voice mail first then I'll call them back if I'm feeling up to talking and don't feel distracted. I just try to give my number to few people as possible. Really I'm just not a phone person at all I'd rather speak to someone in person unless it's just a short quick call or text. I tend to get distracted when I'm on the phone and attempt multitasking sometimes or if I attempt a conversation I'm never sure what to say.

I own a cell but I rarely use it. I haven't even turned it on in over a month or so.

I have one, but I hardly ever use it. It's usually turned off and I only turn it on when I need to make a call. People can't really reach me on it and I like it that way.

ok I think everyone should have a cell phone just in case of an emergency. I mean its true we all lived without them for so long but in this day and age, there are more problems so therefor everyone should have a cell phone.

Heh. A form of life seeking security that says there's no line to life. If you really believed you didn't need it as a life line, you wouldn't seek its security.

I own a cell phone just for security reasons. But I don't really depend on it and it's not my lifeline.

I can't stand cell phones. I can be called at work, or at home. Both have voice mail. You'll get to me just fine, but at my lower heart-rate leisure. ;) I refuse to live the life of an instant messenger.

I have one and wouldn't want to go without it--it's my lifeline on the road, traveling so much. However, on the downside, once upon a time, I used to have everyone's phone number in my head. Now, if my phone is dies, I'm pretty much screwed even if I could borrow someone else's phone.

I got my first cell phone in 2005. Now I don't see how I could get by without one!

I don't have one. I don't even believe in text messages.:PSometimes it's a superfluous luxury and i get tired of some constantly seeking attention by using their cells as walky talkies. Not everyone cares about your conversation you know.

Well, if I had a personal assistant with a cell phone who could relay messages to me like Vince probably does, I wouldn't have a cell phone, either!

Dlisted is reporting that Tom Cruise doesn't have a cell phone either. I don't understand how these celebrities can do without cell phones. I mean, they're on the road ALL the time. If they don't take a mobile phone on the road, are they just out of touch ALL the time? I don't believe it. I have a cell phone. It's my only phone. Why pay for a home phone when my cell phone works at home and on the road?
