Want An iPhone But Don't Have Cingular? Now What?

If you think you are stuck between a rock and a hard place with Cingular being the only carrier for the iPhone, guess again. The Consumerist gives some excellent tips on how to make the switch from other networks if you want to purchase the iPhone by June. They are definitely not pushing Cingular since they say this (too funny!).

"Bear in mind we are not advocating that you switch to Cingular, a service which has tendency to suck and hate its customers"...

Go to iPhone is Cingular: How Do I Switch? for step by step instructions on how to make the big switch.

I've been a Cingular customer my whooole life, and even though "my whole life" really only means approximately 7 years, I enjoy being a Cingular customer. I've never had any customer service/reception/billing problems ever, so please give the Big C a chance. Despite all the negative cr*p you might hear, I have a theory that it's all somehow coming from the pissed off competition :) Mac is too smart to choose anything but the best ^_^

I am going to stick to T-Mobile thank you. Cingular gives me a headache. The phoen is nice, but as a person who owns a mac, I dont think I need to carry it with me wherever I go.

I like the post from today about Cingular dropping the customer for using to many roaming minutes. You can't seem to win with wireless companies anymore.
