Website of the Day: Where's George?

Thanks to TeamSugar user aistea311, who submitted this great website called Where's George. "I came across a dollar bill with a red stamp on it with the URL," says aistea311. "I found out that where's is a website that tracks your money, both in the U.S. and in Canada. It is called wheresgeorge because of George Washington on the dollar bill. I tracked my one dollar bill and it started in a hot dog cart, and got to me, 2,000+ miles later!" I say, that's impressive... makes me want to give it a try. I guess I do sometimes wonder where my money has been, but for sanitary reasons.

To learn how to post your favorite sites to the Website of the Day group,

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.

  1. First of all, join the Website of the Day group
  2. Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
  3. Choose "Blog"
  4. Give your photo a Title
  5. Leave the category as "general"
  6. Change the channel to "technology and gadgets"
  7. Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Website of the Day")
  8. Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
  9. A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
  10. Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
  11. The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
  12. Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
  13. Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture telling me why you love the website, do it before the code that has appeared.
  14. Click Submit

So join the Website of the Day group and share information about all of your favorite sites! Yours just might end up on the geeksugar homepage!
