I used theKnot.com too. I have experienced the same issue. Later, I found a great wedding website - Justproposed.com. It is FREE and has very good quality. The key is there has no advertisement. I hate it! My site is located at http://www.justproposed.com/dorisraymond enjoy!

Hmmm, I've been a member of the knot for more than two years now (since my engagement and even after the wedding, since I never actually cancelled my account). I never get any emails from them, and didn't notice too much wedding spammy emails either. You should be able to request to receive no emails from them in your account set up.

I made the mistake of signing up for the knot. I got about 5 emails a day from them. Then they sold my email to vendors who non stopped emailed me. I got one vendor who was trying to sell hello kitty weddings, and a pokemon wedding.
