Forty-one years ago today, the first email message was sent by a UCLA professor and graduate student. The message was supposed to read "log" but the connection was lost before the message was completed, rendering the first email ever sent: "lo."
I didn't have an Internet connection in my house until about 1996; my first email (sent via AOL, of course) was probably directed to Seventeen magazine or somewhere similar.
Crazy to think of how much has changed since then (as has the sheer number of emails I send and receive daily). Do you remember your first email message? Who was it to? When did you send it?
