When Was the Last Time You Had a Film Roll Developed?

While walking home from work the other night, I noticed an unexpected sign in the window of my favorite Walgreens, reminding the customers that yes, they still develop rolls of film. I can't recall the last time I had a roll of film developed, but someone must be asking Walgreens staffers about it if they felt the need to put up a notice. Of course, maybe it has something to do with the fact that most of us have gone digital and customers are occasionally bringing in disks, but not rolls. When was the last time you had a roll of film developed?

2003 I think. I don't even know where my film camera is. How old school. :) I loved waiting to have a roll of film developed though... I miss those days! Now I can just preview and take lots of pictures and get them perfect every time.

a few days ago. Gotta love that HOLGA! I work in the photography retail industry, and film sales have dropped 30% since last year. We're one of the few local retailers still selling film and darkroom supplies in the city.

this weekend. i've worn myself out with digital... it's too "perfect." i like the graininess that sometimes comes with film. i recently dug up my old minolta maxxum 7000 and purchased a lomo fisheye camera.

June - My sons teacher had us send in disposable cameras at the beginning of the year so they could take photos of them throughout the year during different events. Why is it so freaking expensive still?!

2 weeks ago. I had to buy a disposable camera on my last vacation because I forgot my digital camera at home. Pictures were such crap though. I love how you don't have to be stingy when taking pictures with a digital camera--bad pictures are easily deletable.

I definitely still have film developed at least once a month because I get my favorite pictures from my ancient Canon Ftb, not from my DSLR. Also, I'm obsessed with Lomography cameras which are all analog.

Last time I moved... 2007? 2006? I found like 13 rolls of film and had it all put on CD. Best idea ever. I dont have any printed photographs, only prints of scans as I move too much to save the originals.

Christmas. I carry a digital camera in my bag for daily use, but I still prefer the quality of film.

I'm a photo student, so most of the time I have to develop my own film. The only time I develop at a store is when I get color film. I would be devastated if they ever stopped making/developing film. That's...my life right there, :/.

I had like 5 rolls developed during that free film day earlier this month ( I hit up all the walgreens near my house and on the way to work, it worked well) all were from my supersampler lomography camera ( sorta like kbussanich's holga, but different).

Last time was when Walgreens had that develop a roll for free this month. But, before that, I used to develop on roll every month on average. (avid photographer who loves old school SLR cameras.) If I'm doing shots I can't risk having that half second delay, then I go with film cameras... which is a lot of moments actually. As for digital... snapfish all the way.

When I go away I use film and digital pictures. Certain pictures I take in digital and film because when you use film you can blow it up larger than digital pictures even at 10-12Megapixels...you can't replace film completely yet...

Summer of 2006. They gave us disposable cameras to take pictures of at our post-graduation activity for high school.

I used to buy those disposable cameras where you took a few pictures and then went to the drugstore with the roll. I think the last time I did that was about three or four years ago.
