I had a go on my sisters wii fit at the weekend and it told me I was basically fat and unco-ordinated. So I didn't like it. :pFor somebody who has a gym membership (i.e. me) it wouldn't be a lot of use because I can get classes for step and yoga included in my monthly payments. For somebody who DOESN'T have a gym membership and needs some base level of activity in their lives then it would probably be ideal.One thing I noticed is that it gives the impression of you having worked out without that workout being done... i.e. with the hula hooping there is no real hula hoop but it feels like you have done it with one. Similarly with the running, you are just jogging on the spot and aren't actually getting any resistance like you would outside. So I'm not about to quit the gym and get one of these...For somebody with no activity or limited time then it would be good though.

I have been trying for over a month to find a Wii fit *cry* Well let me rephrase that...find one that is not DOUBLE the retail price. I am so not into traditional work out videos and this sounds like something I would really be into!

I started the same day you did using the Wii Fit for exercise, I got it pre-ordered from Amazon.com. As of date I have lost 25 ibs. This is in conjunction with the South Beach Diet. ( with a cheat here or there) I hope others are using the Wii Fit. Its an awesome tool for me to try exercises I was once scared of! Free step is the best!!I am glad to see you have been sticking with it too. I have been following your posts about it and glad I finally posted. Wii Fit is the best thing that has happened to my health in a LONG time!

I think you need to add some weight to most of them for the best workout. I do free step for 30+ (yesterday I did 60 min) with a resistance band around my legs and free weights. I was smoked. I also use my free weights on some of the trainer challenges.Another tip on free step is to do a mini-lunge when you step up.
