Are You a Fan of Sony's Rolly?

Are You a Fan of Sony's Rolly?

Sony decided to rock out at CES this year with their entertaining Rolly display. These egg-shaped digital robotic music players were out in full force, flashing their lights, and flapping their wings to the beat of Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man." Each egg "dances" to the beat of the sounds coming out of the side speakers, as songs can be downloaded from computers or played via bluetooth. The Rolly includes 1GB of memory and still has yet to hit store shelves in the US. I can't say I personally need or want one, but you can't help but be mesmerized by their moves. Have a peek at the video below, and let me know what you think!

Huh. This is a pointless gadget. I don't think many kids would like this. Unless they just wanted to play with it for and hour or so. Then the kids would throw it too the side.

The technology used for this product is awesome. But it seems too chunky to carry around, and 1G isn't grabbing me. I'd rather get a shuffle which is much more compact. About the moving parts.. it could get boring after about 2 songs...

um yes, there is no point to it, it's completely for entertainment only. So in that case, yes, I love it, it's cute and the video was fun to watch. Would I buy it? Maybe not, since I don't have a nice, polished, lit-up floor to place it on to play:) But neat idea I guess.

I'm sure it was fun at the show but I don't see it as being anything most people would actually buy.

I can see it rolling off the tabletop...and on the floor...squooshed. Great for CES fun and hats off to the engineers tho.

It's interesting, but I can't see much use in it outside of entertaining a child or someone who is intoxicated. Now if it came with the lighted floor it's on, we could talk.... ;-P
