Starting on Friday, you won't need to go to the video store to pick up the latest Sundance Festival favorites. Instead, you can point your browser to YouTube. Announced today, YouTube has partnered up with the SFF, and will be offering five popular festival favorites until Jan. 31 for $4 a pop. Independent filmmakers can join in on the action during YouTube's "Filmmakers Wanted" campaign to stream their films online, while still keeping their copyrights and naming their own rental price. YouTube also says they'll be reaching out to other industries in the coming weeks to offer this streaming option, which should inevitably lead to them taking a bigger piece of iTunes and Amazon's online rental pie.
