The next iPhone is rumored to support NFC (near-field communication), the same technology supported in Google's Nexus S that allows for short range data exchange between two devices — and could soon be the way we pay for purchases.
What else? Find out after the break.
The next iPhone may also be equipped with voice-recognition technology to rival Google's voice search on Android thanks to Apple's acquisition of Siri, an iPhone app that behaves like a personal assistant. And, speaking of acquisitions that may make their way onto the iPhone 5: Lala, the music-streaming service acquired by Apple in 2009, hasn't yet been integrated into iTunes or any other Apple product.
There's no news of when the next iPhone announcement will come, though many speculate it'll be over the Summer . . . without Steve Jobs.
