The iPod Becomes Teacher's Pet

The iPod Becomes Teacher's Pet

At least two companies are now selling software that allows students to view lecture slides on their media player screens. According to The New York Times, this technology offers students who miss an important point the first time an easy method to retrieve and review lecture material outside of the classroom. As you can see below, the iPod's screen is a perfect tool for viewing an art history podcast or a biology lecture, with the iPod Touch providing the ability to zoom in and out. This new and improved software also comes with word indexing capabilities, which allows students to search certain keywords without having to review the entire lecture. Let's hope the students stay focused on their math lesson instead of Justin Timberlake's music videos!
