iTunes Introduces Complete My Album

Apple has announced Complete My Album, a new iTunes service that allows customers to turn their individual tracks into a complete album at a reduced price by giving them a full 99 cent credit for every track they have previously purchased from that album. I know BuzzSugar must be thrilled about this and being the thrifty geeky I am, I must say I'm pretty intrigued by the idea myself. Here's More:

“Music fans can now round out their music collections by upgrading their singles into complete albums with just one click, and get full credit for those songs they have previously purchased from iTunes,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes. “Complete My Album is a wonderful new way that iTunes helps customers grow and enjoy their music collections.”

Complete My Album offers customers up to 180 days after first purchasing individual songs from any qualifying album to purchase the rest of that album at a reduced price. When you buy any song on iTunes the corresponding album will immediately appear on their personalized Complete My Album page with the reduced price listed.

I was wondering that too ZergGirl _ I'd love to get an extra episode of Workout. I am so obsessed with that show right now.

Honestly, I can't believe they didn't already do this! I use my iPod mostly for Podcasts and songs I already have on CD, but this would have been annoying for people who wanted to sample a couple of songs before buying the album. Glad to hear they did this though!!

This is a cool function. Of course, I usually only buy the songs I like from an album, but if it's something you know you'll like, it's great that you don't get charged again for the songs you already bought.Wonder if they'll do this with the TV shows where you might have bought the pilot or a random episode or two...
