Following Friday night's tragic shooting spree in Santa Barbara, CA, the community has gathered to remember those whose lives were lost. The 22-year-old shooter Elliot Rodger detailed his plans in a disturbing YouTube video titled "Retribution" before he left his apartment. That night, he stabbed three young men in his apartment before shooting three women at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Alpha Phi sorority house, leaving two of them dead. From there, Rodger drove to a local deli, shooting and killing a 20-year-old man, opening fire on a group of pedestrians, and hitting two bicyclists with his car. He was then found dead in his car with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
With the lives of seven people lost, including Rodger, plus several reported injuries, students and locals made their way to the UCSB campus for a candlelight vigil on Saturday. Throughout the weekend, flowers were placed at the shooting sites, with small bouquets tucked into the deli's glass windows to fill the bullet holes. As details about the shooter and the victims continue to emerge, take a look at moving photos from the weekend's memorials.
