Back of And the Nominees For Achievement in Makeup Are. . . Last week, the Oscar nominations were announced, and that means we're in the heart of awards season. While I realize that the majority of people get most excited about the best actress, actor, and movie portions of the awards, the Bella in me gets excited for the lesser known, behind-the-scenes kind of people. Yep, I'm talking makeup artists, who somehow make mythical creatures more realistic, Jokers more insane, and Brad Pitt look less Brad Pitt-esque. In Hollywood, it's not always about the glitz and the glam, as this year's set of nominees prove. They include The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight, and Hellboy II: The Golden Army. Check out my gallery below to take a peek at their talented work, and fill me in on who you think should win. Beachbummz 8 years great special effects!! Beachbummz 8 years Benjamin Button! that is like the best movie so far this year....other than Twilight!! erinalise 8 years If Buttons doesn't win I'll be so sad. The age progressions on both Brad and Kate were flawless. silly3 8 years I didn't see Hellboy II, but I think Benjamin Button deserves it because the effects were so real and human. While the make-up in the other two movies looks really good also, they are cartoonish, which seems easier to pull off. Keaton7655 8 years I think Brad Pitt looks like Robert Redford in this photo. Back to the issue at hand. I can't say on any of them because I haven't seen any of them. Good luck to all! Larien 8 years Benjamin Button ! colormesticky 8 years I think Hellboy deserves it, but I worry the Academy will call it old news since it's a sequel and give it to Benjamin Button.
