Re; the spin pin, it took me at least 4 tries to get the hang of it and mind you my hair is really heavy and thick so the only thing bothering me is getting the tight hold to stay. But I will say that it even if you still have to use some xtra bobbis, the pins help you eliminate alot of them so it's still pretty cool. re: the palladios papers, I totally discovered them by accident last summer and have been addicted ever since. They really work great for oily skin. I need these on auto-delivery :-)

Psychobabble, having really smooth hair makes styling hard, you're absolutely right. There's nothing for hair accessories to grip, so they just slide out. Maybe try "roughening" things up a little bit with a teasing comb before you put your pins, barrettes, etc. in? My hair's not as thick as yours, but teasing a little really helps my braids and combs stay in place.

The spin pins don't work too well for me either. I have long straight thick hair with some subtle layering throughout. A bun looks great when I put them in, but the pins start to untwist and slide out after about an hour. Then again, I have great difficulty using anything other than ponytail holders because just about any hair clip/barrette/device slides out of my hair nearly instantly.

Sorry to hear that, Anon. What's your layering and hair texture situation like?
