In 2011, the classic tale was transformed into Gnomeo & Juliet, an animated film for children. Emily Blunt voiced the Juliet character, but thankfully this adaptation had a happy ending for Gnomeo and his Juliet. This animated Juliet wasn't decked out in princess attire, though. Her red Phrygian cap and tucked-under coif had a rustic quality about them.
