Many people like to dye their hair lighter for Summer, but Ashley Tisdale [1] just showed us what to do if you're already platinum blond. In a surprising move, the High School Musical [2] actress got tones of red added to her hair to give her a strawberry-blond [3] hue that, depending on the lighting, looks several shades darker than her usual color.

She posted an image of her new color on Instagram [4] and attributed it to hairstylists Kristen Ess [5] and Anja Burton [6]. While the photo in her feed shows that the warm color [7] has hints of lighter blond in it, Tisdale also shared some snaps of her new hair in her Instagram Story that showed it can actually look significantly darker while inside.
