When Aveda launched in 1978, the brand introduced a few shampoos and one conditioner called Cherry Almond Bark. Over the course of 30 years, the conditioner (and the scent) became a cult favorite — until, to the dismay of its fans, the iconic scent was discontinued a decade ago. Then this month, it was reintroduced in an entirely new line, Aveda Cherry Almond Softening Shampoo and Conditioner [1] ($17 each).
The collection is silicone-free, vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated with coconut oil and shea butter to gently cleanse and hydrate the hair. Unsurprisingly, the products sold out immediately, with people clamoring to get their hands on more. (There's a current wait list of 2,000 people for the conditioner alone.)
