Back to Basics: The Best Concealers

Since we are always writing about the next best thing premiering on the market, we can't overlook that sometimes, some of the best colors and products are the oldies but goodies. In this installment of Back to Basics: The Best Concealers, we are going to take a trip down memory lane to show you a few of my old time favorites. I can't wait to hear what you think! Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage Concealer, $28, has won countless beauty awards. Reason being is it totally covers up dark circles, pimples, red spots and also brightens your eyes. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat, $38.50, will not only cover but will highlight and brighten. This magic pen has celebs, editors and anyone with dark circles hooked. It has a lightweight formula with an attached brush that makes application to the eye area, hollow of the chin, and sides of the nose super easy. Maybelline Cover Stick Concealer in Light Beige, $3.29, will cover you completely! It blends in flawlessly if you lightly dab it around your orbital bone. It's also great for covering blemishes, or any red spots. I have been using this since high school, and it's hands down my favorite concealer of all time.

If Touche Eclat is out your budget try The Body Shop's Lightning Touch, it's pretty good at dark circles and redness, but I haven't used the pen style since, the thing I find about concealer, almost anything will work if applied with a brush!

the YSL one is fab but it finishes so fast~ another good concealer to try is by bobbi brown it is cream texture and comes with a little tube of matching loose powder underneath..
