Beauty Mark It! Gentle Face Scrubs

Hey everyone! So yesterday, I went to Bliss to pick up my normal face scrub, and it was sold out. Since a new shipment isn't expected for three weeks, I took it as a sign to try something new—and who better to turn to than my fellow beauty junkies?

For this week's Beauty Mark It challenge, I'd like to know which facial scrubs and exfoliators you can't live without. Tell me by Beauty Marking your favorites and tagging your choices with the phrase "face scrub." I'll feature the readers' favorites on BellaSugar next Tuesday, July 17.

I got a recipe from my teacher recently for a homemade honey oatmeal mask/exfoliator. I'm definitely going to try it. If it works well, I'll post the recipe.

After steaming my face, I blend a tablespoon of finely ground cornmeal with dove soap or whatever cleanser I'm using and work it in little circles *very* gently in to my skin. Coarse cornmeal is available, I don't go near it. The fine ground feels almost like powder.

I swear by Kiehl's Pineapple papaya facial scrub, massage on ur face then leave it on without scrubbing for 1 min then rinse! Gives me a fab complexion without drying. For getting rid of blackheads, I pour 2-3 tea spoons of salt and add 4-5 tea spoons of milk, let the salt dissolve a little then go ahead and scrub away, works like a charm!

I love the aspirin mask too! I make mine a little differently, though: 5 aspirin, diluted for at least ten minutes in a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water (1 part ACV/4 parts water; I keep a bottle of it in the shower for my hair). Then I add about a teaspoon each of honey and aloe vera gel, smush it all up and put it on. It works terrific!

The Good old tried and true Aspirin Mask!! Cheapest beauty routine you'll ever have :). It's backed by dermatologists too. Here's how to do it: You'll need: 1) honey 2) regular aspirin (get one like the target brand so it dissolves fast) 3) a small dish (i use a sauce dish) to mix it in All you do is take 3 aspirin tablets, put them in the dish, and drop a little bit of water on it with the edge of your fingers (VERY LITTLE! Too much will render it useless! All you need is a drop on each and the tablets will start to break down themselves). I let it break down while i'm washing my face with my facewash (Boscia! it's the best). Then drop 2 squeezes of honey into the dish and mix everything together. It'll feel grainy. Spread it all over your face, let it rest 10 minutes (not any longer) and wash it off, exfoliating with the aspirin as you wash. Do this 3 times a week maximum and you'll see your complexion even out, blemishes disappear, and smooth skin glowing skin!
