Ugly Betty's Becki Newton looked lovely at the Elle Women in Hollywood Tribute, no? While her skin looks rosy and flawless, the focus is all on the eyes. Using just a bit of shimmer is an easy way to draw attention to your eyes, and as Becki's makeup artist Jamie Greenberg explains, it's easy to do. Get her step-by-step instructions on creating this look when you read more.
Greenberg, who works with Mark cosmetics, says you can create this eye-popping look at home. Here's how.
Step one: Apply a light white eye shadow in the corner of the eyes and on the eyelid. Throughout this look, she used the Mark Super Flip palette.
Step two: Greenberg applied I-Mark eye shadow in Cake in the crease, blending it there with a brush.
Step three: Using an angled contour shadow brush, she returned to the Super Flip palette and applied the gray shadow to the corner of the eyes, blending it with the Cake shadow.
Step four: Using a flat eyeliner brush, Greenberg dabbed I Glimmer in Gleamed in the corner of Becki's eyes and on top of her eyelid. ("It's nice to mix dry textures with wet textures sometimes to get a really nice finish on the eyes," she explains.)
Step five: Next, apply a highlighter underneath the eyes. Greenberg used Get Bright Hook Up in Golden with Becki.
Step six: Apply two coats of mascara. Then, use a liquid or pen black eyeliner (such as Eyemarker in Jet) all around the lower lash line. Use a flat eyeliner brush to smudge, then set it with black eye shadow.
