Bellissima! Jemma Kidd Lasting Tint

Now you can add Jemma Kidd's Semi-Permanent, Waterproof Eye Lash Color ($28.50) to the wide world of makeup stains. But unlike lip and cheek stains, this one is for your eyelashes. What's more, it's waterproof.

The semipermanent dye is lightweight and promises not to smudge, flake, or feather for 24 hours. It goes on like a mascara, and you should let it dry for a few moments before applying a second coat. One thing to be careful of: Don't let any product touch your skin or else it will stain your face — yuck.

To remove, just wet a cotton ball or Q-tip with an oil-based eye makeup remover and wipe along your lashes so that the color gets lifted away at the root. Lasting Tint is available in black only, but if it takes off, who knows what colors could come up?

I nabbed one of these from a girl on my corridor earlier this year (her older brother is married to Jemma Kidd, so I'm pretty sure she was getting a sneak preview...) - it's nice if you just want to darken your lashes without the whole volumising-lengthening effect of a mascara, and it looks very natural, but it only stains. It doesn't have any of the other features of a regular mascara. Better for girls who prefer a very natural look than for makeup junkies.

I used this over the summer and adored it. It was perfect for going to the beach or pool because I didn't have to worry about my mascara smudging. Tint is also available in brown, btw.

Oh my gosh, have you guys tried Benefit's BADgal blue mascara?!? It is FABULOUS! It's a deep-violet type of blue that really makes your eyes pop! My lashes look so AMAZING with it on! You guys have to try it! :-)

I've been meaning to try this since I read an interview with Jemma Kidd a while ago. I've got blond lashes and so does she and she designed for people in the same boat. Also, I've got really long lashes to begin with, so I certainly don't need more length.

I used Sene Gence semi permanent eyeliner and it is my favorite in eggplant, I wonder if this product is similiar.

I would love to see if this works. I have blond lashes that are pretty much clear and when I get them dyed at the salon, it makes putting mascara on so much easier. I could see why someone with dark lashes wouldn't need it, but I'm curious. Thanks bella!

I remember trying a similar product from Neutrogena a couple of years "tinted" your lashes black and lasted for a couple of days. It was nothing spectacular. I agree that maybe someone with very light lashes might like this. But I prefer a traditional mascara, because it lengthens, defines, separates, etc. These "tinting" mascaras seem to just color the lashes.

I don't see the appeal of this really. Unless, I dunno, maybe if you were naturally extremely light blond and in that case you'd at least need a light brown tint definitely not a black.

so this is designed to give yous lashes 'color' ? I'm guessing that the only difference between this and a mascara is that mascaras offer lenghtening, curling, definition and volume, while this is gives them just a hint of color, right ?
