Bellissima! Nails Inc. Everlasting Polish

Here's some more nail news from across the pond. The UK's famous nail salon chain, Nails Inc., has come up with a solution to the typical one-week manicure. They call it Everlasting Polish. It is a gel-based formula that comes in what looks like a lip gloss or cream eye shadow pot, and it's applied with a little brush.

The manicure lasts anywhere from three to four weeks without any chipping or peeling, and the application process takes about an hour from start to finish. The manicure costs around $100–$125—a hefty fee, but it isn't completely terrible considering you get four weeks worth of manicures out of it. However, be warned that you have to have it professionally soaked off for it to be fully removed and it will cost you an additional $30–$50. The process is as follows:

  • STEP 1: A base coat is applied to the nails as usual.
  • STEP 2: Two coats of everlasting polish are applied to the nails/toes.
  • STEP 3: A top top coat is applied and then your hands and feet are placed under a painless UV light for two minutes until the polish coats are dry. The result is super shiny and smooth nails.
  • Isn't the name cute? It reminds me of something that Willy Wonka would have invented for beauty junkies!

This is just gel nails... go to any regular nailshop and you get it for $20-40 bucks tops.. Who ever is trying to market this as a everlasting mani is dumb... Don't waste your money on all that... just get a gel base on your nails

Oh and I forgot to say that there is no nail tip it's just a gel and polish right onto your natural nails-so its the same as a natural manicure -it just lasts longer!

My question! I would love to get this done in NY! Can you get it here???? Does anyone know if that Salon is in NY???? The down Low on Nails Inc-Everlasting nails from a girl who knows: I have tried everlasting nails in ireland. I did a french manicure which doesn't last as long as a regular color. All my girly pals were big fans of it and you had to wait weeks to get an appointment in BT. How long does it really last?: I think it looks best for the first two weeks and only ok for the 3rd and 4th. You have to take good care of it and you wipe it down with non acetone nail polish remover ever three days, and repaint with a uv nail polish. What about the Gaps?: You also can use a ridge filler for that small gap. My nails grew fast but that gap wasn't very noticeable because your nails continue to look so great. You also use a sesame oil every night to keep your cuticles in good condition and keeps the mani looking great! Is it worth it?: A regular french only lasts about a day or two without any cracks or pealing so I think if you are going on holiday, getting married-and have lots of pre/post wedding events, or even during christmas and new years party season it's a great excuse to get everlasting! Or if you just like your nails looking perfect all the time-it's the best thing over gel or acrylic because it's natural! IT"S NOT GEL NAILS: It's totally different-this is a natural product used for the gel base-it is bees wax called Bio-sculpt-its from South Africa! So it doesn't damage your nails! My nails were a bit week after it but with love and care following it-they were fine again. It's addictive stuff-and most of my pals in Ireland and the UK, get it done every month at 75 euros a go! It costs more money over there than NY to get a basic manicure so it's totally worth the money over there. I think here-it's definitely worth it if you want your nails perfect all the time or its a special occasion!

No. I change my mind and nail colours too much to commit. Now if I was going on vacation, then a nice neutral pink would work.

Interesting..but after one week my nails would have grown to a point where they would need to be painted again (by the cuticle area). I can't imagine 4 weeks..there would be a pretty big unpolished area by the cuticle, you know? :? But the concept is really cool.

Chatnoir, I had no idea that you could do that, sounds like a much cheaper fix :) I would consider the other option, if I had the money laying around, but I would probably get tired of the color in that time. I like to change mine often and no one color would match all my makeup and clothes.

Im a nail technician and the process described is gel nails. This is not a new technique it has been around for decades. You can get gel nails done as either sculptured or overlay and in many colours and styles eg.manicure. The benefit of gel nails is that they are so natural looking and are easily removed at the salon. It has to be maintained once a month.

yah ur nails will start growing out after 2 weeks (which is why nail polish chip after 1 week - it just isnt meant to last so long, and you need a new manicure, whether at the salon or DIY) and if u choose a dark or bright color tat's kind of tacky. the method sounds like those gel extensions steps so no wonder it can last.

Would it really last for 4 weeks, even through washing dishes and chores and just general daily life? And ditto the comment about nails growing - it would look really bad! It's a cool idea, but I'll just be sticking to their regular polishes (which are amazing).

I think most salons use a uv topcoat. I've paid 1 dollar extra for it. It does really well for the two weeks between mani/pedi. My mom bought me the little light and topcoat at Sally's. The best topcoat of all time is Seche Vite and that one makes my pedicures go at least 3 weeks or until I can't stand the color anymore. However... I do love the salon. It's so cutesey. I just couldn't pay that much for the service. The booths are such a cool idea! I'd still use my ipod though. :)

I wanna go to that salon! But I'd never spend that kind of money on a manicure. First of all my nails grow super fast, and second I get bored with my nail colour and change it every few days. And I would imagine that this process has to cause some kind of damage to your nails.

It doesn't sound worth it. If you had found a good but inexpensive nail place where you live, it would be what...$20/$30 tops for a mani? Probably less. The place IS cute though! Those booths look super comfy! And isabella has a would need fills like acrylic nails! Hehe! Also, acrylics need to be soaked off professionally and they never leave your nails in good condition. What would this do to them?

I agree with the above comment. Your nails would grow in that time. I like the salon though...

wouldn't your nails grow within those 4 weeks and then you would have that awkward space between your cuticles and your nail color??? i guess that would my only concern

    Hmmm 4 weeks? I dunno...
