Best Blushes of 2009

Best of 2009: Blushes

Nothing makes you look pretty like a wash of color across your cheeks, and while blush may not be an everyday product for some women, very few underestimate its ability to charm. I have a couple of cheek-brightening secret weapons in my beauty arsenal, and I'm sure you do too. So tell me — which blush brand served you best this year?

currently using Nars Orgasm, but i really like bobbi brown's Rose blush. the earthy pink tones look much better on fair skin than orangey Orgasm.

Nars is the only blush that lasts all day for this oily face!

NARS in "Deep Throat." It's a slightly peachier and way less sparkly version of "Orgasm."

Bare Escentuals Glee is a pretty plummy shade that always brightens my face.

Another vote for Nars. I was really skeptical of it for a few years and used Dior and Tarte and various other drugstore brands, but nothing compares to Nars. You only need the slightest amount AND it stays on for a long time.

Voted Nars, but also love Sleek blushes although they are only available in the UK right now =(

Last week, I picked up Fresh's new blushes (i think they are new) I got it in Petal which is the lightest pink shade and the darker more coral shade, but I can't remember the name. They are so pigmented and last so long I am in love. They've officially replaced my NARS Orgasm

Having to cut my make-up budget I discovered ELF (EyesLipsFace)they are very affordable, and I ordered their minerals start up kit and absolutely Love it,now people who can afford the really expensive stuff may not like it,but it's someting to look into,if you want great make-up for way less the money.

I use this mineralized baked bronzer that came out a few years back in a limited edition series from mac that I love!

I love Benefit blushes. I used to love Nars, but I find the blushes a little too much for daytime.

Does anyone know of a really good blush that doesn't use carmine or cochineal? I used to love Benetint and Bare Escentuals but ever since I found out where the color comes from I am too grossed out to touch them.

i love tarte cheek stains for a natural, glowing look. snarkpants, i love nars for most things. their lipsticks and lipgloss rock my world. copacabana is the secret to faking a good night's sleep. however, i had trouble w/ the powder bronzer in laguna, which was otherwise the most perfect color on me, not orange or muddy, but it would always make me break out. i've been afraid to try the powder blushes for the same reason. good luck w/ your experiment!

i LOVE nars!!! but recently, i've been breaking out on my cheeks. i'm taking a month sans nars, and seeing if the breakouts stop. sounds weird to hope for breakouts, but i really don't want to give up my favorite blushes :(

Definitely NARS, for me. They have such great unique shades, and they offer mattes too, which is a huge plus point for me. Dolce Vita is one of the best shades around. Shu Uemura is great, too.
