Just when you think every possible braid has been weaved [1], one look at the New York Fashion Week runways [2] confirms that nope — there's more to be done. The Fall 2016 shows began on Thursday, and we're seeing inventive, ingenius takes on an old favorite as well as more classic styles.

Braids are a perennial go-to style [3], but they do seem to be having something of a moment between their ubiquity on the runway as well as the red carpet [4] during award season. Wherever you get your braid-spiration, there's clearly many styles to master before Fall rolls around [5].
