Bridal 911: Must Haves For Your Wedding-Day Clutch

The following post was written by Shannon Nelson, who blogs for A Girl's Gotta Spa and is part of POPSUGAR Select Beauty. A Girl's Gotta Spa provides great product reviews and tips on a multitude of topics ranging from makeup to hair to skin care.

With my wedding just around the corner, I can honestly tell you that every nightmare scenario has gone through my head on what could possibly go wrong on my wedding day. My immediate thoughts go to hoping it doesn't rain, trusting that my kids won't decide to knock each other out, and anticipating that all family members get along. However, it's the little things that can create emergencies, and for those, I am definitely prepared. Here's what's going into my bridal purse (or as I call it, my "emergency backup.")

Find out more about each of these products when you read more.

1. Tatcha Aburatorigami Japanese Beauty Papers ($12): Between stress, nerves, and the heat, I know that there is no avoiding shine in my T-zone. These beauty papers work wonders to absorb excess oil without disturbing the makeup that your MUA has perfectly applied. No shine means my face won't serve as a big reflector to the flash of every camera snapping my picture.

2. Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant ($20): Without a doubt, no one wants to be the bride who had BO on her wedding day. I've tried every 48-hour antiperspirant/deodorant there is and every clinical one, as well. None seem to hold up in really humid weather. A fellow beauty blogger turned me onto this designer deodorant, and I haven't looked back. If this isn't in your arsenal, don't walk — run to get it!

3. Band-Aid Active Friction Block ($7): New shoes = writhing pain from blisters. While I plan to switch to my Therafit Tiffany Silver Sandals at the reception, I'll be standing in my gorgeous silver Lulu Townsend Najela Platform Sandals ($50) for hours before I can take a break. This friction block from Band-Aid is a lifesaver so that your feet don't become a casualty at your wedding.

4. Three Custom Color Specialists Lip and Cheek Stain ($23): I want my lips to retain some color throughout the day without having to constantly reapply lipstick or gloss. And I suspect there will be a lot of crying, hugging, and sweating that can easily dissipate my blush. That's why this dual-purpose stain is my secret weapon on my wedding day!
