Brie Larson had a stunning half-up, half-down hairstyle for Sunday's Academy Awards in Los Angeles. From the front, it appeared as though two strands from each side of Brie's head had been twisted back into a simple updo. But from the back? It was another story. Working with hair stylist Mara Roszak, Brie paired her embellished, custom Gucci dress [1] with an equally intricate hairstyle. Mara wove strands of Brie's hair over, under, and around a beautiful shimmernig comb, proving that, in addition to jewelry, bling has an important place in hair, too. The piece, the Arielle Chignon Wrap by Jennifer Behr [2], retails for $1,125.

Brie's makeup artist, Rachel Goodwin, completed Brie's look with a hint of eye shadow and a raspberry lip color. "Putting finishing touches on this celestial beauty just before she left for the red carpet," Rachel shared on Instagram [3]. "What an amazing, surreal moment."
