Britney Spears [1] debuted a new brown hair color on Instagram, and there are plenty of Britney-isms fans can use to express their excitement surrounding her hair color [2] change. "Same faces, same dress, new hair," she said in the caption, before noting that her sister, Jamie Lynn [3], had been the one to inspire the hair transformation.

The look is a major change from the blond hue we've seen her with for the past five years, but this isn't the first time she has been a brunette. You might recall that her hair was a lighter shade of brown in the late '90s [4] as well as back in 2013 [5].
