Bronzer Tips For Spring

5 Steps to Perfect Bronzer Application

We're happy to present this article from one of our favorite sites, Real Beauty.

I am so tired of the frigid weather and ready to embrace the blooming Spring. While the transitional season is always awkward — dreaming of the best Spring outfits but still having to wear heavy Winter coats — it doesn't mean we can't start putting on some warm-weather-ready makeup to brighten up our mood! Carina Menzies, founder of Everyday Minerals, dished out how to create a sun-kissed skin tone without actually going to the beach!

Step 1: Choose the right shade to match your skin tone. Everyday Mineral has Soft Bronzer ($13) for fair to light skin, Everyday Bronzer ($13) is a medium tan shade, and Happiness Bronzer ($13) is the boldest shade of bronze.

Step 2: Wait approximately 10 minutes after applying your morning moisturizer before you start the bronzing process. When your skin is still dewy or damp, the bronzer will go on in uneven patches — a major faux pas! So remember: dry skin equals even, beautiful coverage.

Step 3: The size of your bronzer brush is very important. A brush that's too big can lead to over-application, while a smaller brush won't blend evenly. A medium-size brush such as the Tapered Sculpting Face Brush ($13) (seven inches long; three-and-a-half-inch, ferrule to tip) is just right.

Step 4: Apply the bronzer to places where the sun would naturally kiss your skin, such as your forehead, cheeks, the bridge of your nose, and your chin. Be sure not to forget to blend evenly along your jawline, extending down onto your neck and décolletage.

Step 5: Get a flawless matte look by applying a translucent finishing powder, such as Everyday Mineral Sunlight Finishing Dust ($13), to stay shine-free all day.
