Name a music video that is sexier than Cardi B [1] and Bruno Mars's "Please Me." We'll wait.
"I wanted to feed off of that," said makeup artist Erika La' Pearl [2], who quickly recognized how sultry the video would be. To create Cardi's hot-pink eye-makeup look, she whipped out tools from her arsenal from one beauty brand: Pat McGrath Labs. Across Cardi's lids, La' Pearl blended shades Gold Nectar and Euphoria [3] from Mothership III La Vie En Rose Subversive Palette [4] ($55) onto the inner corners, before sweeping a mix of Rose Risqué (from the same palette) and Night Creature (from the Mothership III Eyeshadow Palette [5] ($125)) across the rest of the lid. She finished the look with a stark black winged liner [6] created with the fine-tipped Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner [7] ($28).
Ahead, see Cardi dial up the heat with her graphic eye look in "Please Me."
